Renewable energy and transmission services present an attractive option for many of our customers, and we work with utilities, grid operators, private companies, and trading companies to see how we can best meet their needs. We provide our utility customers with a range of products, from renewable energy to a full spectrum of transmission solutions.

On the renewable energy side of the business, the stable production costs of wind energy keep our customers' costs and rates steady and can serve as a hedge against more volatile fuel markets. In addition, as the regulatory environment changes and governments require more renewable energy in the electricity fuel mix, we can help fulfill that need.

We offer options that include long-term power purchase agreements (PPAs) with bundled energy and renewable attributes, and also offer these products individually. Our recent experience in the execution of PPAs includes a 27-year agreement with Manitoba Hydro for the renewable energy produced by our 138 MW St. Joseph Wind farm, and a 15-year agreement with PG&E for the bundled energy and green attributes generated by our 101.2 MW Hatchet Ridge Wind farm. In addition, we actively pursue alternative transactions for our customers including renewable energy credits.

Developing transmission projects is also one of our business priorities. As a renewable energy company, we are uniquely positioned to undertake the successful development of complex transmission infrastructure projects. We apply our expertise on the renewable energy side to developing transmission solutions that will increase access - and improve the reliability of that access - to renewable energy power.
