Marta Ontiveros joined Pattern Energy Group as the Senior Vice President of Human Resources (“HR”) in January 2024. She has over 20 years of experience leading HR for global energy and industrial companies.
Ms. Ontiveros came to Pattern from Avangrid where she led Avangrid’s Workforce Development function to provide opportunities for current and future generations to access work and economic opportunities in the clean energy industry. Before that, Marta was the Vice President of HR for Avangrid Renewables where she focused on culture, talent acquisition, organizational design, and employee engagement. At Avangrid Renewables, Marta designed and implemented the organizational structure for their new Offshore Wind business line. She developed and executed the talent acquisition strategy resulting in over 200 new hires. Before joining Avangrid Renewables, she led HR functions for BP, Schlumberger, and Permasteelisa.
Marta grew up in Mexico, and she loves the outdoors and traveling. She and her husband have a son in college. She is based in the Houston office.
