Creative and Critical Thinking
Our company culture fosters critical thinking and innovative ideas. We make sound business decisions that are driven by detailed and rigorous analysis and backed by technical expertise. We encourage intense collaboration among our various experts, which leads to new ideas and creative problem-solving. We apply our people's best insights to produce measurable results.

For example, Pattern's team of scientists led the development and use of MERLIN SCADA radar technology, an innovative way to address migratory bird challenges. The system detects approaching flocks of birds, assesses their mortality risk, and automatically activates an appropriate response, including the idling of turbines as needed. This radar technology is the first of its kind world-wide and was recently put in place at Pattern's Gulf Wind project in Texas.

Community
Working in partnership with our stakeholders is an essential part of what we do. We recognize that landowners, community members, business partners, clients and investors all play a crucial role in the development and implementation of our projects. The input, perspectives and support of each of these groups are integral to our success, and we seek to establish symbiotic partnerships with them that endure and thrive throughout the lifespan of our projects.

We work with our landowners to ensure a fair and beneficial relationship for the long-term. We hold town meetings to keep community members informed, address any questions or issues, and encourage open communication with local leaders. We pride ourselves on keeping our commitments and making good on our promises.

Through the generation of significant increased tax revenue and the creation of hundreds of new jobs, our projects bring direct and indirect benefits to the communities we are in, and we are always seeking ways to expand our positive impact.

Environment
Pattern is committed to protecting the environment. As a renewable wind energy and transmission company, we naturally serve as active stewards of the environment. We consider it our responsibility to produce and transport clean, renewable energy to consumers with the least amount of natural impact.

Before beginning construction on a project, Pattern's environmental experts in conjunction with scientists from the region conduct a detailed site analysis in order to understand the local terrain, weather, flora and fauna and assess any ecological footprint our project could have. We prepare detailed analyses on each site's distinctive ecosystem so we can adapt our design and construction as appropriate. We work in cooperation with landowners, ecological specialists and community members to ensure our projects have maximum benefit with minimum environmental impact.
